Elder Nicholas Furphy - T. H. E. Mission (Texas Houston East Mission)

What's good my dudes? Sorry about last week, I was SUUUUUUPER busy with Transfers and all. So here's a quick update of 2 weeks ago... - Elder Farley done got transferred to Port Arthur, LA. The last picture with Elder Farley. - I will now be in the Oakhurst Ward, for my 4th transfer, serving with Elder Butterfield! So, we're going ham (which means working hard) with missionary work 😜. BUT, now for this week.  We had quite the busy week laid out for us. We had sweet lessons with each of our progressing people and they are all on track for their baptismal dates! So first off, Matthew is literally my favorite man in the world! This was transfer week - no letter this week.   Elder Furphy has a new companion, Elder Butterfield.  He stayed in Kingwood.

Heyooooo! What's good my dudes?   I hope life is treating y'all well and that you are seeing miracles!   Cuz I know I am :) Some Elders had dry ice, so we made some fog. ELDER WALTER!!!! But here we go: So, basically nothing TOO cool happened this week, but it was still good.   We went on exchanges, with the APs (Assistants to the President).   I went with Elder Nelson and it was super fun!   We got a call around 2pm, to go to the hospital and give a guy a blessing!    So, we went to the hospital and met Enrique!    He's been at the hospital for about 2 months now and his heart has really softened.     It was a cool experience, cuz we got to give him a blessing and he wants us to visit him every other day now.    So, we're gonna become his buds and also teach him about the gospel and he's gonna see the happiness that comes from learning about the gospel :))) District Council in Livings...

So! This week was super sweet! Lots of success for Elder Farley and me. We are trying to do as much as we can to help the Lord in this great work! So here's what happened...   Me n' Elder Farley  Houston TEMPLE pics I went on an exchange with the Atascocita Elders this week.   I was also in a trio with Elder Kerr and Elder Johnson and that was a ton of fun. Their car was in the shop and so we got to drive the Buna mobile around. That was a huge throwback to the beginning of my mission haha  😂 . But yeah, we were trying to figure out where to go and I felt that we should go to this neighborhood and walk around and we found 2 people to teach! That was so cool! Hello, one and all, to this week's episode of Elder Furphy's life. (aka a pretty cool show and it has some fun stories along the way😉) Anywho, this week was pretty sweet! I was able to go on a couple exchanges, be Waldo a little bit 👌, and I was able to talk with some Romanians. What else could an Elder ask for? So let's get to it 🤠 Maybe I get this vest? So, I was able to go on an exchange, with Elder Carraway, this week and that was super fun! We had a good ol' time walking around, and street contacting some people. We were able to share the Family Proclamation with some people. Then, we had a lesson at the church in the afternoon with Matthew, one of our progressing people, buuuuuuut they slept in and we rescheduled the lesson for the next day.  Then, we got a curve-ball to our plans, cuz one of the Elders in the zone was still at the doctors with another Elder and they both happened to be trainers. Hello,hello, hello!!!!!!!! Y'all are pretty cool 😏 So this week was pretty sweet. We had some key lessons with the people we are teaching. So, here's what went down... 1) We had a great visit with Ellen. We stopped by her house, just to see how she was doing, because she has been feeling really sick lately. Well, she was home and she let us in! We talked about the Book of Mormon and watched a Book of Mormon video and afterwards she brought up her baptismal date. We asked her if she wanted to set a new date for baptism and she said yes!!! She is planning on getting baptized on the 9th of November. It's gonna be so sweet! Ellen is literally so cool. 2) We had a sweet lesson with Mark. We talked about General Conference and how he liked it.  He said he wished that he could watch it every week. Nice Mark.
