Week #74 - Not my gumdrop BUTTONS!


Hello, hello one and all!!!! It's CHRISTMAAAAAAS!!!! I super love Christmas and all it has to offer!

Here are the updates y'all:

- Sarah and Monique got baptized! They are so awesome and it's been an honor to have been able to teach them. They are part of such a fun family and they continually want to learn more about the gospel. It's so cool to see how the Holy Ghost can help people to learn more and guide them. It's super awesome helping people come closer to Jesus Christ.

- Mark got the priesthood and a temple recommend! He is super excited to go to the temple and help out his ancestors 😁. He has become so happy and he is full of joy. He truly understands what it means to take upon himself the name of Jesus Christ.

- We went caroling on the 23rd and it was so much fun lightening people’s nights. You could just see the joy that entered them when they opened the door and got to listen to Christmas songs. We were even able to talk to a couple people about the gospel! Good deal.

  10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
   11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
   12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
   13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
   14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

I love this part from Luke 2 because the angels are wanting to just have everyone have they joy they are feeling, and so they go caroling 😂. It's just so great that this one moment in time was so great that the heavens rejoiced and shared it with the world. 

So I challenge y'all to go share your testimony with someone! Make someone happy! It'll make you happy 😊

But, I hope everyone is having a great time today and that you are able to feel the joy of the season 😁.

April 28, 2020 Pic from last time Big thunder clap today. Lots of rain.   We set up Dee's interview for baptism for Thursday and he is also meeting with the Bishop tomorrow. He's so ready. I appreciate 1 Nephi 3:7 cuz Nephi went and did, and I want to keep that attitude as I am finishing my mission. I love Nephi and his example of staying strong in his faith. Also, the spirit totally warned us to go home as we were driving in the rain. So we did and we felt good. We figured out the reason was because we needed to call one of the people we were teaching. They needed to be uplifted and wouldn't have been had we been driving still. So, follow the spirit y'all! I am staying strong y'all! I have never felt better about my mission. Week #93 - You know how I be feelin' (THIS IS IT! THE SEASON FINALE!!!)

Hey y'all.   Elder Furphy here.     SO this is it.   Please.   Don't cry.   I am eating my sads away with Uncrustables. They are good. But I know there's better food ahead of me ;).   I want to let y'all know I appreciate you and the support you've given me over the course of the last 21 months. It's been a TRIP. I will have a trip down memory lane, at the end of this email.  Okay! Dee's Baptism!!! (Bishop Hale, Dee, Me, Elder Nash) But, Dee got baptized this week!   What a way to end :)   He has been prepared for a year now and has finally found the Church of Jesus Christ.   The service was nice.   10 people including us were there!     It was awesome.   Dee was so happy to be here.   Our Ward Mission Leader gave a talk about baptism and the Gift of the Holy Ghost and actually, in the middle of the talk he asked Dee to share his testimony about the Holy Ghost.   He ...
