Week #35 - All Props to Elder Walter bb

Image
Wow-wee, what a week! We've made a bit of progress this week and I am so happy to be out here in the Mission. Elder Furphy's haircut So, to begin, I honestly can't recall most of the week, cuz it FLEW by.   Elder Furphy and the doggos  1977 copy of the Book of Mormon Elder King is sad about his hair and  he was even more sad to see a dead ice cream cone But, the coolest part this week, happened on the weekend. SO, I got to go on exchanges with ELDER WALTER, in Jasper, and let me tell you, this guy is super legit. Elder Walter is not afraid to hold back what he wants to tell people.  He is a super good missionary.  We were able to find one new person to teach though, so that was super cool! Biking, in Jasper, is super tough cuz there are so many big hills and I almost died. Emphasis on ALMOST. We were also able to go on ministering visits with one of the members, so that was cool.  Elder Furphy n' Elder Walter Be...

Week #34 - Elder King won't talk to me. :'(

Because he has laryngitis and it literally wrecks his throat to talk, so that's a fun ride for us right now. We are actually in Vidor right now, waiting for the doc to come check on him. But yeah, that's a part of what happened this week.   Sunny Tracting (#nofilterbb) Sick Elder King BUT, all I have to say is that Woodville is kinda really sweet. It helps already that I know Elder King, so we don't even have any ice to break and we have been jiving like jiggly jello. He has such a strong desire to work, which is sweeeeeeeeet! Me and the horse BUT, this week we had a really cool contact. Whilst we were walking down a road of rejection, I saw this man smoking, so I was like, "hey can we talk to you for like 10 minutes?" and he was like "nah" and then started to talk to his friend across the street. Well, that friend came across the street and started talking with him. I didn't want to get excluded from this conversation, so I j...

Yes baby. I am in not Buna. But where am I? Stay tuned to find out ;) My DOPE shirt -  made at the Redbud Festival!  David and Elder Furphy doing some work - March 6 The DISTRICT SO! This last week was so amazing! It all built up to the Redbud Festival, in Buna.  Elder Furphy and Elder Hazelton To begin, I called home last week and I asked my father if I could have some extra money for Redbud and he was like, "nah". However, they asked if we were running a booth, at the festival, and I said no. So they told me that if I were to go and buy a booth, they would give me the money to do so. I accepted the terms and we started to plan. Elder Furphy That night, at dinner, at the McCann's, I told them what we were going to be doing and they became very excited about it. They then asked us if they could do anything and we said they could send out a facebook post on the Relief Society page to ask the sisters to bake over 100 cookies for ...

Elder Furphy, Elder Horikami, and Elder Hazelton  (looks like a boy band photo) Anywho, this past week was kinda slow, but there was still some good that came, because a positive person can find the good, in anything!    Moth                                                                                     Moth BUT, we were able to go do some service for Brother Johnson, the absolute LEGEND. We had to move some heavy marble table tops and I could feel my muscles being SUPER used, haha. C'mon, I swear I lifted with my legs. No injuries occurred, which was good. Broth...
