Week #31 - Sister Lee Comes in Clutch!

Image
HEYO What a time to be alive. This week was wack. Not much happened, but some stuff happened. So, let's begin.  So first, we saw that our area barely goes into Louisiana and as one does, we decided it would be good to go find people out there. But, there seems to be a reason that there has been no activity out there. It's because literally no one lives out there. But we were determined to get into Louisiana. So, we drove the hour it takes to get there and we went down some back roads. Eventually, we had to walk the last mile to the border. When we got there, Elder Hazelton and I looked at each other and ran across the border. So yes, I have been to Louisiana on my mission now.   Louisiana Puddle                                                                           ...

To start, we went into the back area, of Buna, and found out that there are a ton of people living back there and that they are super interested in the gospel and I love it! We have found over half of the people we are teaching back there.   We found a nice sunset We got to go to the temple! A less active member took us and it was so great to be able to go there. The member was able to feel the spirit so much. Even though he couldn't go inside, he was able to walk around the temple grounds and just feel the peace the temple brings.    Our pic for trying to find a ride to the temple   Th...

February 12, 2019 Well, well, well, what a awesome week it's been. To begin, a BIG shout out to Elder Seal, what a magnificent missionary.  BUT we had a cool time this week. Elder Furphy and Elder Hazelton River Shot SO, for starters, we got really scared that the person we're teaching, David, was moving to Tennessee, and he wasn't able to make it to church yesterday cuz of work, and so we were like, aw poo, cuz now he can't be baptized in Buna, BUUUUT, Jesus comes in clutch always. We were able to see him last night and he said that he has a new job, at his job site, AND it pays more money, AND he is not going to Tennessee anymore! YEET. He has such a desire to learn and it's so great. He's been able to see the blessings in his life and he is becoming a happier person. It's so great. Well, well, well. You thought I had forgotten about you? Well, you'd be right! Jkjk jkjk, we had a zone conference yesterday, so our p-day got moved to today.   Me n Morris bb   Elder Wood and I 😍  Me n Elder Dowdle SO. Our week, this past week, was pretty cool. Lots of service and lots of lessons.   BUN BUN A member took us to a local Cafe and it was very nice.  To begin, we had two lessons with David this last week! We first had a lesson about the Plan of Salvation with him, at a members house, and he really likes it. He feels good about it all. We then later, in the week, had a restoration lesson with the Bishop. He really likes the idea of modern day prophets and how there are more scripture today. So, now what we've been working on, with him, is to really gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon for himself. I can see how the gospel is changing him and he can see it too. He has been so much happier over the past couple of da...
