Week # 29 - Surprise trip to Fred bb

February 12, 2019

Well, well, well, what a awesome week it's been.

To begin, a BIG shout out to Elder Seal, what a magnificent missionary.

BUT we had a cool time this week.

Elder Furphy and Elder Hazelton River Shot

SO, for starters, we got really scared that the person we're teaching, David, was moving to Tennessee, and he wasn't able to make it to church yesterday cuz of work, and so we were like, aw poo, cuz now he can't be baptized in Buna, BUUUUT, Jesus comes in clutch always. We were able to see him last night and he said that he has a new job, at his job site, AND it pays more money, AND he is not going to Tennessee anymore! YEET. He has such a desire to learn and it's so great. He's been able to see the blessings in his life and he is becoming a happier person. It's so great.

Also, when we were doing service, I moved some wood and there was a BIG ol snake just chillin' there and so I trapped it and Elder Hazelton killed it. I chucked it over a fence for some animals to eat.

The dead snake

Ooo and we were walking in a cemetery and I found a Chandler grave and so I took a pic with it.

CHANDLER

Another cool thing was on Friday, we were supposed to have district training, at 9am, at Silsbee. Then the Zone leaders, last minute, changed times and locations for it and we had to make a quick dash to Fred! I called all of my district and checked if they could make it on time to Fred.  We gooooot outta Buna and got to Fred right on time. It was so cool. We had a really cool District Training. I learned that I need to be more willing to change and to set reminders for myself to be better.

After that, we went on exchanges and I went with Elder Baumann, in Silsbee.  We had a really awesome time. We were able to find 2 new people and give a blessing of healing. We also found this guy who really liked our message and gave us brownies from Dominos. So that was cool. He was like, "do you know what Domino's is?" and I was like, "yeah"
then he said, "you know their brownies?"
"yeah"
"they're really good right?"
"oh yeah they are"
"may I offer you two some?"
"sure"
And so we got brownies and almost a new investigator. So I call that a win.

BUT beside that, that was our week!
BABY GOAT!

I am working hard and having a good time. Also, I'm studying charity right now and trying to become a more charitable person. So yeah, change is cool when it's righteous.

We found the TIN MAN!

Y'all have a great week and go share your testimony!

Love,
Elder Furphy 😍🦁👌
