Hello you wonderful children of God! I sure hope all is well and that you haven't missed me too much lol. Found a cool truck 6 months gone by bb and 18 to go. Whoop de doo! I'm about to be in Buna 4 1/2 months. But what's more is I'm gonna be District Leader, so that cool. Now, I have the opportunity to call my district every night and talk with the Zone Leaders, every night. It's gonna be a blast. Howdy Howdy!!! What a great time to be a missionary! Can I just say that being willing to come closer to Christ is so great and that the blessing you see from it are so immense???? Quick shout out to my bomb Zone Leaders, Elder Davies and Elder Robison, for being so great 😘😘. Elder Furphy - send this email today Alrighty, so this week was cool. We started out by going to the tippy top of our area, in a little town named Call. We had a referral up there and we needed to go see her. So we drove up there and finally found her. She is so cool! Her name is Sarah and she is so willing to learn! I am so happy that I can find people who are excited to learn. We gave her a Book of Mormon and a Bible and she said she would read them both. Sweet! After meeting Sarah, we went by a less active and had a good visit with him. He was telling us all the drama that was going on in his life and I couldn't help but think that all of it would go away or not seem so hard if he would just g...

Okay people, this week was pretty cool. A big portion was because of ZONE Conference, buuuut besides that, here we go bb! I found a weird bug. It sprayed some acid on me 🐛😕 So, there was quite a bit of service this week. First off, we went to Barbara's house and raked like a TON of leaves and also had to shovel some pig poop. So that was fun. Our clothes were mucho stinky. But, it was fun. The other service we did was help our Elder's Quorum President, Brother Allen, put up chicken wire around his chicken coop. That was pretty fun. I am learning new skills everyday and that day was learning the art of chicken fencing, lol. I now know all the pig's names at Barbara's house, so that's fun. OOOOooOooooOoOOOOooooOooOoO baby. Yeah that duck was real good. But that comes later bb 😉. Alrighty, so this week was pretty fire. No, we don't have people on date, but we are fixin' to change that. So to begin, a background bb... So for the past 8 weeks I have gotten to be good friends with the mission mom of Buna, Barbara, and her son, David. I never thought much about them getting baptized cuz Barbara said she didn't like people forcing religion on her and that she would come to us when she was ready. Big oof. BUT this story has a twist. Elder Hazelton and I have been getting real close to David these last few weeks and randomly during one of our Texas-opoly matches he asked us when our church service started. I was like, "what the FREAK, no way." and we were like "9am. Are you gonna be there?" and he was like, "yeah, I think I will". "Man, oh man" - Elder Wood As my father would say it.   Elder "Tex" BUT really, that is how this week has been. Elder Hazelton and I have been on top of our shtuff. I really like the Swiss gear jackets but I did not buy it don't worry. So one thing we have been doing is setting up family mission plans with the members in our ward. So far, we have 5 set up and we plan to have more bb. It's really the best way to find people to teach cuz tracting is like a cool way to meet people, but if the members help out, there is already a fellowshipper with the person. So yeah, that's really the biggest thing we have been working on.  Last time in gospel principles😜 Calling home was pretty cool and it felt like we were all picking up where we left off, so that was nice.
