Week #26 - Strippling Warrior Adventures!!
Howdy Howdy!!!
What a great time to be a missionary! Can I just say that being willing to come closer to Christ is so great and that the blessing you see from it are so immense???? Quick shout out to my bomb Zone Leaders, Elder Davies and Elder Robison, for being so great 😘😘.
Alrighty, so this week was cool. We started out by going to the tippy top of our area, in a little town named Call. We had a referral up there and we needed to go see her. So we drove up there and finally found her. She is so cool! Her name is Sarah and she is so willing to learn! I am so happy that I can find people who are excited to learn. We gave her a Book of Mormon and a Bible and she said she would read them both. Sweet!
After meeting Sarah, we went by a less active and had a good visit with him. He was telling us all the drama that was going on in his life and I couldn't help but think that all of it would go away or not seem so hard if he would just go to church and read the Book of Mormon. Anywho, it was a good visit.
We also met a guy, in Call, who said that we only read out of the Book of Mormon and so I just very casually lifted up the New King James version of the Bible that just so happened to be in my hand and was like, "uh, we read the Bible sir." and then he said, "Oh, so you've seen the differences between the two books!" and I said "No, not really sir, I haven't" and he kinda just shook our hands and shut the door lol.
We also helped Barbara feed her pigs again this week, which was sweet. They are all super great but Pretty Boy is going to the freezer pretty soon, sooooo SEE YA! 🐷🥓🥓🥓🐷
Uuuuuuh, we went on exchanges this week and I got to go with our District Leader, Elder Mote. He's one cool dude and has a great care for us all, in the Silsbee district. Silsbee is one cool place but what I've noticed is that the people there are not as nice as Buna, but, there are some gems out there in Silsbee. We met a ton of people who were interested in our message and said they would come to church! So yes. That was cool.
Let's seeee, Oh! So we went tracing from 7 to 9 pm on Saturday and it was SUPER COLD. Like 38 degrees with like 90% humidity. But, the Lord blesses all who have the desire to serve!!!! We met a cool family who let us teach them a lesson, which was cool. We also met William! He is so cool. He told us to come back, at noon, the next day.
So, on Sunday, we went back at noon, cuz church was 30 minutes long cuz the heating, in the building, wasn't working. BUT, we went to Williams and he wasn't there😭😭😭. So, we talked with other people, then came back at 2pm and he was there!!!! He said he was sorry for not being home and we said it was all good. We had a FIRE lesson with him and he took a Book of Mormon and said he wants to meet more with us and we were like "yaaaaas!!!!!!" So yeah that was pretty good.

I have been taking my stripling Warrior action figure around our area and taking some great pics of him. So yes it was fantastic.
Just saying that obedience is super cool and that it brings a ton of blessings.
Oh so a cool scripture is in Alma 19. Verse 36.
"36 And thus the work of the Lord did commence among the Lamanites; thus the Lord did begin to pour out his Spirit upon them; and we see that his arm is extended to all people who will repent and believe on his name."
This just taught me to go out and work and the Lord will bless me for my desire to work.
BUT yeah, I'm gonna finish this transfer strong!!!! Pday is on Tuesday, next week cuz of Transfers bb. Who knows what will happen. Imma prolly stay. Buna part 3 LOL. I don't know, I'll let y'all know next week.
