Image
Well, well, well. This was a week indeed. So we started it by cleaning the literal crap out of our apartment cuz inspections were that day. But the highlight of that day was when Elder Ure and Olsen came to spend the night for missionary certification. It was good to see my buddy again 😊. It was good to catch up. Then we had certification baby! So we went and President Hewlett explained what we were doing and basically, we had to pass off the first 3 lessons (memorized) and the Law of Chastity/Words of Wisdom (memorized). We also had to have 16 Bible references to use in a bashing situation, so that was cool. Let me just say that I passed with flying colors. Also, the MTC gang was back together! So Elders Ure, Ewell, Morris, and I got to reunite and catch up. Elder Morris is a super cool dude, by the way.   Da BOIS! M issionary Certification group Elder Wood called me and told me Happy Birthday and that was super nice to hear. It's always good to hear from my Fathe...

Shalom you wonderful people, Anywho, this week was pretty coooool and cold. At least I thought it was cold. But it was a good week nonetheless.  I mean it was good, but not much happened.  Elder Furphy in a sweet Halloween Jacket Sooooo, we only met with Kim once, this week, and she is awesome. She said that she is wanting to learn more, but her job is keeping us from stopping by, so that is a bummer. BUT, we will keep trying. We met a family that loves Owl City, so that was funny. They made some really good curry. They were super good at gymnastics and gave us a demo, so that was cool.  We were riding down the road, after tracting, and we got flagged down by a car that was in the middle of the street. It was our Elders Quorum President! His car died, so we helped him push it out of the road. Some of the other members of the ward came and helped so that was cool to see that unity. Elder Furphy  We also met a lady who said she was taken to Hell ev...

Hi. This is another weekly my dudes. Or gals. So this was a week packed full of stuff and I hardly remember all of it.  But, I will try my best to recall the good moments.  Soooooo, here we go.  First off, we are teaching a very nice lady named Kim and she is just wonderful.  Every lesson we teach, she just gets it and wants to learn more.  She also texts us questions throughout the week and is awesome about learning about this gospel.  We put here on date for baptism and she is very excited😁.  She also came to church yesterday and we helped her understand what the Sacrament was and the members, in the ward, were very friendly to her, so that helps a LOT.  I can't wait to keep teaching herπŸ‘πŸ‘.  NEXT, we had a very cool study session with our Stake President, President Rascon, and he is super spiritual and awesome.  He used to be a news anchor which is way cool too!  I always love being around him. THEN, we got to go to a T...

Hello you wonderful people, This week was pretty cool. A lot happened and I am super tired. But, it's a good tired. So let's dive in to the week, shall we? TUESDAY: Elder Osborne and I had to wake up early and drive out to the edge of our area to have a lesson at 9:30am with the sisters that used to be in the Lakeshore area. They had recently found a new investigator named Kim, and wanted to introduce us to her. She is a super awesome lady who is just dying to learn more about the gospel. She said I had a very nice smile, so that was cool 😊. The sisters invited her to be baptized and she said YES. Buuuuut, they didn't set a date, so it's a big LOL. Then, for the rest of the day, we knocked streets. We found this spooky clown and it took a lot of courage to walk close to it. HahaπŸ˜‚ IT'S THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR Creepy Clown pic WEDNESDAY: Nothing too big happened on Wednesday. We just knocked more streets and helped Curtis figure out his which wa...

Week #10 - Rest In Peace, Humble Ward!

So basically this week was full of change. Good and maybe less good, but still good overall😁. SO, on Wednesday, we had to take our District Leader (DL), Elder Setoki, to the doctor.   So, that was a drive to Summerwood and then Kingwood, and then back to Summerwood, and then back to Humble.  We then biked out to Foxwood, to help Brother Flores give a blessing.  Then he bought us some chicken and waffles.  So that was cool.  Later that night, we got a call from the Kingwood DL, Elder McBride, and he said that we were in his district now.   So we then joined that zone and district.  THEN, on Thursday, I took Elder Osborne to HAAM and taught him how to make CNPs.  Then we went to the mission office to get a bike rack.  Big highlight of that day was that someone paid for our Chick-fil-A, so that was pretty dope.   On our way home, we met some cool people, Jacob and Valerie, and they were super interested in what we had t...
