Week #10 - Rest In Peace, Humble Ward!
So basically this week was full of change. Good and maybe less good, but still good overallπ.
SO, on Wednesday, we had to take our District Leader (DL), Elder Setoki, to the doctor. So, that was a drive to Summerwood and then Kingwood, and then back to Summerwood, and then back to Humble. We then biked out to Foxwood, to help Brother Flores give a blessing. Then he bought us some chicken and waffles. So that was cool. Later that night, we got a call from the Kingwood DL, Elder McBride, and he said that we were in his district now. So we then joined that zone and district.
THEN, on Thursday, I took Elder Osborne to HAAM and taught him how to make CNPs. Then we went to the mission office to get a bike rack. Big highlight of that day was that someone paid for our Chick-fil-A, so that was pretty dope. On our way home, we met some cool people, Jacob and Valerie, and they were super interested in what we had to share. So, that was nice.
THEN, on Friday, Elder McBride gave a super good district council. He taught how when we share the gospel, we just have to give the basics, at first, so that others can understand it. If you come full force at them, they won't want to listen because it will sound super confusing. We got some MOD Pizza after and that was super good. Soooooo, our areabook app got bugged out and so we can't use it anymore for a bit . So, I had to lead out with my 6 weeks of knowledge of the area and try to remember what appointments we had set. So, yeah, we went blind around our area and had to rely on the Spirit to guide us down roads, which was cool.
We also met the people that live in the super patriotic house, so that was cool. But that night, we went to Chili's with Curtis, but on our way there we got pulled over and the cop said Curtis had a tail light out. So, he asked for his license, but Curtis had forgotten his license, so he got a ticket for that. But the cop also seemed super confused that we were with him, so he asked us what was going on and I said, "we're going to Chili's, oh wait, we gotta pick up his grandma first, THEN we are going to Chili's.” He seemed okay with that, so I shook his hand and we went and has some delicious food at Chili's.
THEN, on Saturday, we helped a family move into the ward. I started to learn how to solve a rubix cube, so that was cool. Nothing much happened that day though.
THEN, Sunday was a good fast Sunday. It was a big day as well cuz, the boundaries of the Kingwood and Summerwood Stakes changed and merged a bit. BUT, the Humble Ward got dissolved and we got put in the Lakeshore Ward. So the area we were serving in got taken away from us and now we have a completely new area to learn, so this will be fun! There are only like a handful of people from the Humble Ward, in the Lakeshore Ward, so we have a lot of new people to meet. Also, I am now back in the Summerwood Zone. And back with DL, Elder Setoki, so yeah, it will be a great time!
But yep, this will be a great couple of weeks and I'm excited for the new challenge! ππ
Y'all have a great week and remember the Lord.
