HELLO it is I, Elder Furphy.  I hope all is well at wherever home is for y'all. Life has been pretty good out here in the field, but we got hit with some big news. That news I will tell in a bit.  BUT here is my week. SO, on TUESDAY we talked with a guy named Booney.  He owns a guitar shop here in Humble.  He thinks that the universe was formed by a dude playing a guitar and the right chords brought everything together.  Lol that was really funny.  Bahama Bucks! THEN, on WEDNESDAY, we went to HAAM and made some CNPs.  When we were at lunch, Curtis called us and said that the sisters put a bunch of sticky notes on his door saying how much he meant to them and that made him feel a lot better.  So, thanks sister Robinson and Watt!   Brother Flores came in clutch (in the nic of time), with a dinner for us and he made me a greenie dinner which consisted of broccoli, green mashed potatoes, stuffed green peppers, and chocolate chip mi...

Why hello there! Oh man this sure was a good week.  Elder Furphy and Elder Wood SO, it started off with Tuesday.   Then wed- jkjk. So, on Tuesday, I got to lead out which was cool cuz I had no idea where to go but I sure lead Elder Wood to different places in Humble.  We stopped by this older lady's house and her name is Naomi and she is very sweet.  She said we could come back later, but she wasn't feeling to well that day. So we are going back this Wednesday.  We also went to this apartment complex and this guy walked outside and was going in the opposite direction than us but he turned around and saw us and walked up to us and said, "Do you have a pamphlet for me? I don't have time to talk right now, but I will later." I was like, "cool" and we gave him one and he left. Didn't get his name, but he is from Washington. So I call him Washington dude. We also had a great comp study with the zone leaders. We all talked about how recently...

As the title says, it is true. THANK YOU FOR THE SOCKS UNCLE RON YOU ARE THE BEST.  HELLO you magnificent children of God! This week was pretty interesting. So it started off with another exchange because Elder Wood had to go to a leadership meeting.  I got to go on exchanges with Elder Osborne, in the Kingwood area, so that was really cool. They have greenbelts that you can ride through which is like mini forest trails.  But we also helped this 85 year old lady do her yard work cuz she looked like she was about to pass out and we said, "hey you gotta take a breather". So yeah, service is always good. But it was good to be back with my companion, at the end of the day. BUT the best thing of Monday was that Elder Morris came and slept over cuz we had a meeting the next day and they didn't want to drive all morning to get there so that was awesome 😃😃 Elder Furphy and Elder Morris together again! Elder Furphy and Elder Morris together again! THEN, ...

Hello you beautiful people, This week began with exchanges and I got to go on it with Elder Stevens and that ZL right there is a pretty cool dude.   We drove around the Kingwood area and talked to all kinds of people.   The best was when we were knocking doors and we came across a couple of dudes and they were super fun to talk to haha.   OH, but, better yet, we had an amazing dinner.   A lady in the ward cooked us a huge pizza wrap thing and gave us a jar of sauce to dip it in and it was very, very good. 😃😃 The best dinner The next day, Elder Wood and I were on our way to HAAM (place we volunteer at) when Elder Wood ran over a nail and got an instant flat.   So we had to fix that.   Right around noon, a guy in our ward, Bro. Flores asked us if we could help a guy in our ward move.   So we biked over there and this guy had barely put anything in the moving truck, so we were there for a while.   But it was all good nonetheless bec...
