Week #62 - Vacation (not really)
So, this week went by SUUUUPER fast! It's wild how that happens. I'm pretty sure it's cuz we are having so much fun (but working hard). Honestly, I really don't remember what happened this week toooo much. (sorry mom) But here we go!
1. I was able to go on an exchange, with Elder Stebbins, in the Spanish-Land and we had a great time running away from mean dogos! 😅 But, we were able to find two new people to teach and one of them seemed SUPER solid? She is only 16, but she loves her family so much and she wants them to be more happy. So we promised her that our message could have her family come closer together. She liked that and wanted to know more. We shared the Family Proclamation with her, and also a Book of Mormon. She said she would read it. It was a solid contact and she was way more happy by the time we left.
2. I also went on another exchange in Livingston, with Elder Wilkinson, and we found four new people to teach in a matter of 1 1/2 hours. It was super fun and the people we talked to were down to listen to the gospel. One of the people that we tried to see wasn't home and we felt like we shouldn't leave the street. We stuck around on the street and saw a guy mowing his lawn and I was like, "I don't feel like I need to talk to him" and then before I walked up to him, a car pulled up in front of us and a guy with sweet tattoos walked out of the car. We talked to him and he was super prepared! He also wants his family to be closer, so we shared the Family Proclamation again and he really liked it. We could tell it uplifted his day.
But yeah, we also did a mission fast so that we could get 100 baptisms in 100 days, and I am super pumped. So stay tuned!
We mucked out a couple houses, but nothing too bad. There's still a lot of work to get done here in Porter, Texas.
I read 1 Nephi 2, this week, and it was interesting to see the difference between Laman and Nephi. Both were asked to do a hard thing, but, the difference between both of them were their attitude towards the situation. Laman didn't think that going through a hard trial could be possible. But, Nephi knew that the Lord would provide a way. One was negative, while the other was positive. In the end they did what they needed to do! The Lord will always provide a way to get things done, if you follow His commandments. :)
WATCH THE BOOK OF MORMON VIDEOS!!!

They are super cool! Also, read the scripture that they are using! So far, 1 Nephi 1-5 have been released and the next video comes out, this week, on Friday!
I love being able to serve the Lord and do all that I can.
Love y'all,
