What's good my dudes??? If ya wanna send me a letter or something, at the MTC, I will put my address at the end. You can also use dearelder.com , so yeah that works. I will also put my Houston address in too (at the bottom). I swear this 2nd week in the MTC went by in a flash. It's hard to believe that I only have 6 days left in the MTC. Time sure goes fast when you're having fun. I know my testimony is growing each day as I learn more and more.  We have this thing called TRC where we teach an investigator.   Elder Morris and I taught this guy named Shaun Kim. He is from South Korea and he has been attending BYU for 3 years. He had questions as to who God is and how He plays a role in his life. So we just taught him the first principle from the 1st discussion and then we got him to pray! It was way cool. Then, the next lesson, we taught him the restoration and got him to read the Book of Mormon so that's even better. We then had a great lesson for him but t...

HEYOOOOOO!    This week was super cool! I have been having a great time with Elder Morris (my comp).  We have a great district: Elders Morris, Mosley, Ure, Ewell, Jeppsen, Taylor, Rhodes and  Sisters Miller, Stinquest, and Smithson. They are all awesome and they have a great spirit about them, but, we all know how to have a good time.     Elder Morris and I got to teach an "investigator" named Joe and he is super awesome to teach. We have learned so much on how to teach the gospel. It has been a great experience. We are planning on challenging him to be baptized on Thursday. So super exciting!     I think I have learned more here than I ever have in all my years going to my home ward. It's crazy. The first day felt like they stuck a firehose to my head and let it rip, but it slowly died down and I began to learn a lot!     Oh, so funny story, when we got off the plane, all the elders and I tried looking for ...

Today is the BIG day!  Elder Furphy is on his way to the Provo MTC.   He was set apart last night by our Stake President Hansen, as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Bishop C. was present, along with Debbie, Jeff, Derek, Josh, and Erica.  It was a very touching and spiritual special moment. Elder Furphy will be an awesome missionary. Below are pictures at the airport for the final goodbyes!  Terminal 3 - 7:30AM Delta flight to SLC.
