Week #48 - We done got them fleas (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

Alrighty, so this week was SWEET! Elder Boam and I have been working super hard and have been seeing the sweet, sweet fruits of our labors. The adversary is also working hard, cuz he knows what's happening too. But, we ain't aboutta let him stop us.

On Tuesday, Elder Boam and I went on some rescue visits with Brother Keathan and we were able to press the importance of coming to church with some of our less active members.  It really showed me how much of an influence branch members can have on each other.   We, as missionaries, can only do so much, and so when we work effectively, with members, the heavens open and miracles flood over you. So, what I'm trying to say is, all y'all members go out with the missionaries.

On Wednesday, we got a bible referral! That was so cool. We went to go meet him later that day with President Bishop and we shared how you can see the atonement of Jesus Christ, in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon - in Luke 22:42-44 and Alma 7:11-13 

LUKE 22:42-44:

42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, aremove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: band his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

ALMA 7:11-13:

11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.

12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.

13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.

So both show how much Jesus did for us and how much He loves us. When we shared this with our referral, he really liked it and we told him we can keep teaching him and he said sure. We invited him to church and he said maybe. SO, who knows what will happen.

Elder Baum - He Sleepeth

On Saturday, we went to Ivanhoe and taught 3 lessons there. All went really well. Like SUPER well, but on our last lesson, we sat on this man's couch, cuz he offered it to us to sit on and so I sat. In the middle of the lesson, I felt something on my arm and so I looked down and saw 3 black dots on my arm. I moved my hand to brush them off and when my hand got close the 3 dots jumped off my arm. I was like, "oh no" cuz now I had fleas on me. We finished the lesson, drove home and when we got home I had Elder Boam go in first, and throw all his clothes in the wash and then take a scalding hot shower to purge the fleas. I did the same after he finished. Then, on Sunday, we let the car bake in the sun to purge ALL the fleas.

Also on Sunday, we went to a stake meeting and Woodville was represented very well. I call that a big win.

Life is good and it's so much fun. Elder Boam and I are doing great and we are gonna keep killing it.
