Week #36 - Thanks for Sharing!
Well well well what a week. Sneak Peek: I tackled a goat.
But! Man we had a pretty sweet week.
SO, it began with P-day last week. We went by a house trying to find a person, but we ended up finding 3 people to teach and they were all super interested in learning more, so we set up a lesson for Saturday. When we came back, they were having a crawfish boil, so they said "come on and join us!" so we did indulge and I ate me some good ol' Crawfish some sausage, some corn, and some potatoes. Then, we had a sweet lesson on the Plan of Salvation. They had some great questions and we had answers with some sweet scriptural evidence ;)))
We also had a fun time biking this week, because we realized that miles are getting super low on our car, so I got to experience the hill of Woodville, this last week, and it was amazing. But, as a result from us biking, we gained a new investigator. This guy was doing some work in his garden and he said he wanted to talk with us and we were like, "cool" and he agreed with everything we were saying, so we got a return appointment. Fun fact about him, he survived a point blank shot to the eye and so now he is super humble and willing to learn.
We had a Zone Conference and it was sweet. I received some sweet skills in contacting and I am super grateful for it. I got to see the whole MTC squad , Elders Ewell, Ure, and Morris 😀.
Okay, so about the goats. There was a service project that we went to and we had to help take care of her goats. SO, in doing so, we had to tackle the goats and then hold them down and then shove a pill down their throats. It was WILD. But I had a great time.
I gave a talk about not being self discouraging, in church, yesterday. I based it off the talk, Believe, Love, Do by Elder Utchdorf. I mainly talked about how we need to work on ourselves first, then, to work to help others. Service is so AWESOME. It brings the best out of people and everyone is happy, in the end. So, it's a big win.
Other than that, I read Alma 41 and 42 and it was amazing. I learned a lot about repentance and how much of a gift it is and that we should use the power of the atonement to better our lives. I found it to be very comforting.
I am happy to be out here and am loving it!
