Week #21 - Transfersssssss yeyeyeyeye

Alrighty you wonderful children of God.

Elder Hazelton and Elder Furphy

So Transfers are this week and I am staying in Buna, for Christmas! Elder Loynd however is outta here... He is going to a place called Pasadena. But my new comp's name is Elder Hazelton and he is a very cool dude. We are only a transfers difference in experience, so it'll be nice to have someone that is close to me with mission experience 👌👌👌.

Anywho, this last week of the transfer was pretty cool! We did some service and went tracting and went to a party bb.😜👌😘

 Service Furf

So with the service, we went to a recent converts house, and helped him dig a trench to let water drain from his yard and in the process I got my shoes real muddy, but it was totally worth it cuz I got to take a pic with a goat in the end. So gg.

The goat and me

Later in the week, we went on exchanges and I was here in Buna with Elder Baumann. He's a really cool dude. He and I had a fun time talking with people and getting to know some of the members. So there was this one loop that we went to and thought it would be fun to knock. So we went and the first person we talk to is a Jehovah's Witness and we were like, "cool!" and went to the next house. At the next house, we talked with a dude with a glass eye and he was super nice, but he said, "I'm a Jehovah's Witness and probably won't listen and you don't wanna knock on that house over there, cuz it's my grandma's house and she is a JW and will yell at you."  So Baumann and I started thinking that every house on the street was a JW and our idea freaking turned into reality haha. One of the JW asked us why our churches have a steeple. And I was like, "its a steeple ma'am". And so we put the loop in our records as JDUB VILLE. Too good 😂😂😂.

Exchanges bb with Elder Baumann

The skyyyy

Elder Loynd and I got to go to a funeral this week for someone in the ward. It was a very nice service. It was a good reminder of the Plan of Salvation and its importance in our lives. We should all strive to be righteous everyday!!!!

Our ward Christmas party was this last week and I had the opportunity to play the trumpet at it! I was very happy with that and I played Angel's We Have Heard On High! It was great to be able to play it again. I love it. Elder Loynd sang O Holy Night and it was real good. Oh there was like a Bunch of gumbo there and so I had some bowls of that. Gumbo is so good, holy crap. I also had the chance to sit on Santa's lap and so I did.

BUT this week has been good and the food has been even better. I am excited for Christmas and getting to call home! It'll be a goooood time. Y'all keep lighting the world and making it a better place! Service is way too good to pass up! Go do it!!!!

I love you all so much! Go rule the world 👌👌👌

Love,
Elder Furphy 😘😘😜😎😏🎂
