Week #20 - Oh man can you say SERVICE???
So. How have y'all been??? I sure hope y'all have been able to find ways to do some service for other cuz we sure have. HOLY MOLEY. It's wack. Service is sooooo great and I love it.
So basically, this week was just PACKED with service. There is a guy in the ward, that is not a member, but loves us missionaries. He is disabled because of his diabetes so he can't really walk too well with his prosthetic leg. So we helped him dig a couple trenches and lay down piping to help drain water when it rains. It was a very good time. We also helped dig out 2 trees from his yard and planted some grass. We also got to make a BIG fire. That was way cool. On one of our last days of service, we were about to finish and he asked us to do one last thing, and I was like, "If we do this, you gotta read outta the Book of Mormon with us" and he was like "fine" and so we proceeded to do the last task and then we got to read! We read Ether 12 with him and he ended up really liking it. It was a really good experience.
Another cool thing that happened this week was yesterday. We had just finished going around with a member to people's houses and weren't having too much luck. BUT, we were able to give an elderly lady a blessing, so that was very niceππππ.
After that, we had some dinner and were thinking about what we could do. So we went by a recent convert who was trying to flake off from the church and we kinda surprised him, at his house. Lol. He wasn't expecting us and we had a good visit. He still doesn't seem all that interested in coming back, but, we are working hard with him.
After that, we went by a Less Active member, with no luck. Then we went by Matt and Storm's house. OOO BABY. I was not thinking they were interested anymore. We had met Matt the beginning of the transfer and he was super nice, but we could never catch him when he was home and whenever we did, he wasn't able to talk. BUT, we went by last night and he was home and was like, "come on in" and we were able to catch up with him and his family. Then we were able to have a great restoration lesson with him and he was really liking it. He also told us that most churches high key judge other people that don't look nice at church and we were like, "how about you come to our church" and he was like, "okay" and so yeah that was a pretty fire lesson. We told him that he had to really pray to know if what we shared was true and he said he would. So yeah that was a great ending to the day.
BUT yeah, overall this last week has been pretty baller and I am hoping that this last week of the transfer will be totally straight fireπ₯π₯π₯. I am especially excited for the ward Christmas party. That'll be a real fun time.
Anywho, y'all have a great week and go light the community!!! Service is good.
Love y'all,
